The next stop in my exploration of Teatulia’s lovely teas was at Masala Chai. To be frank, my past experiences with Chai tea have been somewhat limited and a bit unsatisfactory. That wasn’t the case here, however. Teatulia’s landed on a brilliant recipe with this blend.

This Masala Chai has a very interesting aroma and flavour. The aroma is exotic and inviting with discernable notes of cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. The flavour is rich and well balanced. There’s a blend of cinnamon, cardamom, ginger root, black pepper, and cloves with this black tea that make it a very enjoyable treat. This blend is good as is, and also when sweetened with a little sugar.

One thing I would recommend with this tea: because of the ginger, don’t allow it to steep too long . Ginger is a temperamental flavour that, left unattended, will spoil the cup by overwhelming the other flavours.masalachai_pyramid__92541-1384438486-1280-1280

You can find this beautiful tea on Teatulia’s website. At the time of this review, they appear to only have a bulk pyramid bag version available. If I see other options become available I’ll update this post.

Bottom line: delicious Chai tea! Definitely recommended.
