After having a few cups of DAVIDsTEA’s Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait, I can see why they call it a ‘fan fave’. This fruity herbal infusion has an abundant and beautiful aroma, and it tastes great, too. I’ve been using the sachet version of this blend. I’ve been able to get two good cups out of each bag, but in order to do so, you need to pay attention to the steeping time. The recommended steep time for this infusion is 4 to 7 minutes. It’s also best with water heated to near boiling.

I would note that the aroma of this infusion is a bit more plentiful than the actual flavour unless you steep for a lengthy amount of time. Don’t expect the taste to be quite as explosive as the fragrant aroma. You get hit with a massive waft of fragrance (a very pleasant one) as soon as you open the sachet (or loose leaf pouch/tin), and that continues right into the steeping. The flavour of the actual tea is still very present but more mellow and smooth.
I do enjoy a sweet and fruity tea every now and then as a treat, and this one was delightful. Strawberry Rhubarb Parfait’s ingredients include apple, hibiscus, raisins, carrot, yogurt bits (milk powder, sugar, maltodextrin, modified starch, citric acid), beetroot, strawberry, rhubarb, natural and artificial flavouring.
There is milk in this blend in the yogurt bits, so if you have an issue like an allergy to milk, please be aware of that.
Bottom line: A deliciously delightful fruity infusion.
