Coconut Pouchong by Golden Moon Tea is a lovely oolong tea that really impressed me. Even from first opening the package, the coconut aroma was delicious and I was eagerly looking forward to tasting this real treat of a tea.
This tea has a very fresh, abundant aroma and flavour. The coconut flavour comes from real coconut extract and makes this oolong sweet and very enjoyable. It’s an exotic flavour, tropical, and there’s a slight floral note in there, as well. The mouthfeel is rich, almost a sense of a slight amount of coconut oil in with the extract.
A three-minute steep time is recommended for this oolong, but I personally preferred to let it steep a little longer. I found this Coconut Pouchong very enjoyable both hot and cold, unsweetened and sweetened – sweetened with sugar being my favourite.
If you’re unfamiliar with oolong teas, don’t hesitate to give one a try. There are some beautiful, flavourful oolongs available, and this one is a very good one to try, especially if you prefer sweeter teas or coconut in general. You can find it at Golden Moon Tea’s website, here.
Coconut Pouchong’s ingredients are: Grand Pouchong tea leaves, and real coconut extract.
